Shadowlands occurs as 1993 moving picture directed by Richard Attenborough and written by William Nicholson, adapted from either Nicholson's play also called Shadowlands.

Plot
the flick is according to a avowedly story & is placed primarily within Oxford during the 1950's. It focuses on C. S. Lewis, played by Anthony Hopkins, an Oxford University academic at Magdalen College and author of (among many others) The Chronicles of Narnia series of books. It tells a tragical romance of Lewis's affair with an American divorcee named Joy Gresham played by Debra Winger.
